dR, always good, need to stop having internet problems
sts and uF, strong euro guilds, don't get to see them enough but they play with some good tactics
rawr , they are always there and have great chemistry
OG, if they get enough points in to compete (new DF)
ZFQ, looked bad the other night but have had an impressive rise
apr, still missing some tactics on split responses, but good chemistry
random jap guild, my vote goes for SpNv
others i would like to see in it:
Euro, Bdv, mkay

I believe that guilds like Amazing Strength[as], Bruderschaft Der Verdammnis [Bdv], Best Before [apr], and You Failed [uF] will be successful because they play on a consistent basis and over this month of Feb/March they have gained a lot of experience. And anyone who has been part of a team or sport knows that practice makes perfect. Amazing Strength will just do good because the a/d spike is powerful if run correctly. Strong European guilds such as Stealing Society[StS] and Whats Goin On[sup] will be on the line this Monthly because of the fact that they are known to be "balanced" guild and their ability to handle stronger builds on maps like Weeping Stone, and Burning will be decided by them alone.
American guilds that i predict will do well is Dark Alley[Dr], Professional Athletes[HGH], Rebel Rising [rawr], Hawk Smash[ZFQ], and Universal Enclosure[Ue]. [Dr],[HGH], and [rawr] have been consistant in placing top 16 and are constantly battling each other during American At's and becoming better. [ZFQ] once again has a strong spike on their hands so how well they do will be determined by how well other guilds can adapt and survive. Universal[Ue] is a reform of guilds like Peanut Butter Toasts[pt], and Jelly Toasts[Jt], and they have become a formidable guild in the midst of dying American pvp. Thugz Mansion[OG] is a new reform guild of members from guilds like [DF],and the old [KGYU]. This guild is going to be tested in the tournament but i believe that their smash mouth style of play and high pressure physical builds will lead them to overpower their opponents and take them by surprise.
I do not believe that notorious sin split guilds such as Mistral Edge[Me], Clan Union[Uni], Kirby in Dreamland[land], or Supernova[Spnv] will survive in this current meta due to the gvg balance of taking out VIO(which gave them tremendous advantages in past monthlies), and the balancing of skills like Siphon Speed and Shroud of Silence. These guilds must adapt to survive or they can fade away quickly with the changing meta.
And further more my prediction for gold capes is going to The Best Guild in the Game[Best] because.........well the name says it all.
Top 8:
1) Whats Going On
2) Professional Athletes
3) You Failed
4) Dark Alley
5) Stealing Society
6) Best Before
7) Rebel Rising
8) Thugz Mansion

1. Hawk Smash [zfq]
2. Delta formation [df]
3. The jagerbombs [jagr]
4. Terror of the justice salmon [fish]
5. Ex talionis [law]
6. Planet unicorn [heyy]
7. The best guild in the game [best]
8. Team everfrost [ef]
No one really played this AT, so there were only 6 swiss rounds. Elims started on warriors.
In the quarterfinals, hawk smash will show their hawk smashing abilities by flawlessing a very talented ex talionis group on burning. DF will return to beat out heyy's sinsplit, jagr will somehow manage to beat best on the most split-friendly map in the rotation, burning isle, and fish will show ef who's boss by destroying a former gold cape winner in less than 6 minutes.
Semifinals: uncharted. jagr will attempt to run dervspike, but given their history of sad losses in the titan division of the rawr cup, they come up short against hawk smash's superior A/D spike. Terror of the justice salmon tries their best balanced to attempt to beat a previous monthly winner DF, but Champ manages to sneak off and solo the guild lord on his ranger while the rest of DF lies dead on the ground with 45-60 DP. Fish was too excited about the complete stand victory to notice their lord just died. Oops.
Finals: a battle between the split-physicals-happy DF and the heavily favored ZFQ. As it's isle of the weeping stone, ZFQ knows they'd get outsplit by DF if they didn't assert their dominance from the start. They decided to all go out the back, and Champ and Yue (who were both on split rangers out the back) immediately took 15 DP. ZFQ sends their runner back to defend their base while the rest of their team pushes into DF's base. Seeing as how Champ and Yue were dead, Chiizu pzed out, and Farin decided to go buy a burrito, ZFQ's runner was able to hold up against Iso and Solaris's strong wanding despite Ackmed's attempt to diversion him. Hawk smash wins gold before the 2 minute mark.
Edit: I suppose I forgot some honorable mentions. Uni ran balanced and lost to best, despite 2 of best's players afk and one of them didn't load into the match. Town came back for a strong 6-0 showing in the swiss rounds, but lost to the best Australian guild ever, Law. vD fought hard, but their balanced build is no longer useful in this pressure/spike heavy meta and crumbles against jagr's charge warrior spike.
The other five guilds to finish off the top 16 were sup, uF, StS, dR, and HGH, the five highest ranking guilds that people thought were going to win this tourney.
Just so Moko doesn't delete my epic story again:
sup, uF, StS, dR, HGH, rawr, apr, Euro

1. uF - they will beat again in the quarterfinals
2. apr - even though haven't played the last days, they will show a strong performance
3. Euro - stop playing E/A spike and kick the rest with balanced/meleepressure
4. dR - if tommy won't error this time
5. OG - there is missing something, I don't think they'll make it to top4
6. rawr - "play defensively!", Polly said.
7. sup - I think they were stronger the last months - and anyway uF will kick them again and again :P
8. GoH - ogog
StS, BdV, HGH could also finish top8, but there are only 8 tips :s

Some random guild no one expects to win (likely a Euro guild). Half of everyones top 8 will struggle to make top 16 and 10 of the top 16 will probably be rather average, and one of them will win it. Just like normal.

This tourney will be interesting in that apr hasn't played well lately, StS has been beaten over and over again on silly mistakes, sup can't keep a team together, BdV loses to hawk smash, and dR can't stay connected. HGH has done well but still loses crucial matchups.
I don't know about uF, but from what it looks like, Euro and rawr have the highest shot of winning.

[Euro] will do it
StS will randomly screw up, they havn't been doing THAT good and with their core war (henchie <3) taking a break, i highly doubt they are capable of winning. but mabye they'll pull their butts together..
not betting on sup again either, afaik they're still planning on using a guest midliner for this mAT, and i strongly doubt that will go TOO well.
uF seems like a strong choice, however; they've been lacking practise, and i don't even know if they got a set roster by now. same with apr regarding activity.
dunno what to think of BdV really.
HGH will probably come far, they seem to rock at buildwars a lot lately, and are overall playing pretty good.
dR will dc anyways and divine is a fatty. (nub quitter)
rawr will probably do a decent job as well.
not sure what to think off the asians, might get far with A/D and lag, same with some random euro guild.
expecting GoH to finish off good, too. they're playing pretty well lately and got a decent build at hand to farm A/D ways.
OG seems pretty weakened and i havn't seen too much of their stuff..so hard to judge.
NOW is a pretty strong euro guild (imo) and has decent chances of coming far , too.
don't really got other particular guilds in mind.

[Euro] are very active and have a couple of really good players but the rest of the team lets them down.
I can't say ive seen uF playing on the ladder much recently hopefully thats just them avoiding obs rather than being inactive. having watched and played against them earlier in the month id say they are the best skilled team around, in a balanced match on frozen its hard to beat them, but ofc with maps like weeping around its not always down to raw skill.

This month my bet for top teams will be the ones with ass/derv + smiter monk so dont think pressure teams will have many chances
as note atention to paragons build team last month they almost got the prize

Rau has such an ugly warrior it might give Euro the advantage they need in the mAT.
I think Euro, rawr, uF, StS, HGH and sup will get there.
dR will have dc's so it's pointless counting them in, and if anyone else makes it in there is prolly just a lucky lineup they had.
